Our initial contact was with Tom Ford, and then Kristen Hall. Tom walked us through the preliminary stuff, told us what to expect, and answered all of our questions (which we had quite a few since we have not purchased a new home for 30 years). The majority of the process was handled between Kristen and our financial advisor. No major issues, and any that did occur were quickly handled by Kristen or Tom. The process was completed in time for our initial closing date.

I had a great experience working Ami at Direct Mortgage Loans. For one, she tolerated me unknowingly mispronouncing her name also she talked me through numbers while driving to the beach with her kids. I initially started working with another home mortgage company but they did not treat me as the customer and would miss our scheduled calls (I wanted to put in an offer but I could not reach my loan agent). With Ami and Direct Mortgage Loans, the process was extremely smooth and Ami had no problems explaining everything in great detail. I will definitely use them again when I decide to refinance. If you're feeling lost in the process of choosing a lender, just stop, and read my story of how I went from crying outside of a rental to owning a home in one month. I had been told my credit was less than stellar by 4 other lenders and that getting approval was risky. Daryl of Direct Mortgage Loans never made me feel that way. I called while I was sitting in front of a house I thought I could never afford and told him my situation. He was understanding (and a military family himself) and said let me take your information and find you what fits best. I am now a first-time homeowner and still in disbelief. I was walked through the whole process by Daryl and never left on "read" so to speak. He has vast knowledge of the MMP program (which is what I used) and they assisted us with a down payment I wasn't sure I could come up with on my own with the minimal time I had. I found out I had 6 months to move from my long-term rental into something else and I was on month 4 of 6 months with less than two months left to find a home and move out. The rentals were scarce and nothing fit my family and I had zero time left. Thank you, Daryl and your team for getting us the ONE YES we needed to stay in this area! Corey walked us through all the required information, the steps in the process, and what to expect.When we found a home, she called the Seller's agent to assure them that we would have no problems securing a mortgage. This assurance helped us beat a cash offer, and with her team's help processing the mortgage application, also kept up on the same timeline as a cash offer closing in just 3 weeks per the Seller's request.I've worked with the large mortgage companies and never received anything close to this level of service. At best, they would have provided a pre-approval letter, and in my experience they don't have the same sense of urgency to get the application processed to meet our timeline that Corey and her team did.Overall it was a wonderful experience, and I'll be going back to Direct Mortgage Loans as my first stop for any refinance or new purchases in the future.

She never hesitated to run numbers for me, to answer my texts or calls, or to explain a part of the process I was unfamiliar with. She's incredibly knowledgeable and very adept at navigating you through the entire process.But even more important is her genuinely upbeat, excited, and enthusiastic personality. Having such a kind and confident person lead me through the lending process really helped me keep a level head and be excited about purchasing my first home. Corey was FANTASTIC as our lender! As first time homebuyers, she ensured we were comfortable with every step of the homebuying process and always explained everything to us in easy-to-understand terms. Any time we had questions, we could text or email her and she responded within an hour. When we first met with her, she took our budget and ran multiple options for us based on different down payments and different house prices, so we could see what our monthly payment would look like. This allowed us to see what we could actually afford and helped us shop for houses within our budget. She even went so far as to lock in our rate when she saw the markets trending upwards, to ensure we had the best rate possible for the time. Hands down recommend Corey for any homebuyer! She's the best!!
