Direct Mortgage Loans recently celebrated our second annual DML Fest. This unique three-day event is a time for collaboration, creating memories, and connecting with fellow team members from branches and departments across the nation. Whether you are looking for inspiration for your next company-wide gathering or are curious about joining our team, dive into this recap to discover some of our standout moments and highlights!
Day 1 – Day of Service
We started Day 1 by welcoming our attendees with DML swag bags and offering tours of our corporate office space. This day was all about giving back to the community. Our team volunteered at two incredible organizations: The Ruth M. Kirk Recreation and Learning Center and The Baltimore Hunger Project. We ended the day with a happy hour at our corporate office.
- Baltimore Hunger Project: This organization is dedicated to fighting weekend childhood hunger by nourishing bodies and minds. We contributed by writing notes of encouragement and collectively assembling 600 food packs during our volunteer time.
- The Ruth M. Kirk Recreation and Learning Center: This center offers a safe space for community children to learn and play, along with essential family necessities like food, coats, toys, and hygiene products. Our DML team worked hard, clearing out the community garden, painting, and cleaning the facility.
Day 2 – Day of Learning
On Day 2, our focus was on personal and professional growth through a series of training sessions. Specifically, Dr. Bruce Lund, our Keynote Speaker, shared insights on the Habits of Highly Effective Salespeople. We also benefited from presentations by Jan Ozga, a member of our Executive Leadership Team, and our Co-founder and CEO, Mike Naylor. The day wrapped up with an evening at Inverness Brewing, featuring live music, games, food, and drinks. It was the perfect chance for DML teammates to relax and connect with one another.
Day 3 – Volleyball & DML Party
The final day of DML Fest was all about fun and games. We had a friendly volleyball match where participants could either play or cheer from the sidelines. Afterward, we headed to The Four Seasons for the afterparty, where everyone had a fun time dancing and getting caricatures done to celebrate the conclusion of this fantastic event!
