Loan Officer Jennifer Stout from The Southern Coast Team started her journey in the mortgage industry in 2020. Although she started out working part-time, she soon discovered her passion for the industry and decided to make the transition to a full-time Loan Officer. When asked what she loves most about the industry she shares, “I LOVE how complex every scenario is and the problem-solving involved in the process. My brain is naturally wired for this type of work and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is also the only industry, in my experience, that really forces you to look at your shortcomings straight on and constantly grow as a person. If that piece is missing, success is much harder to achieve.”

Outside of work, Jennifer serves on the board for the Magdalene House of Charleston which is a local 501(c)(3) organization that specializes in treating drug addiction and alcoholism in adult women in a residential setting. Specifically, Jennifer oversees and organizes monetary donations, and counsels residents on how to build credit to qualify for a home loan. Her work with this organization has helped program graduates start a new chapter in their life and accomplish things they never thought were possible, like homeownership. Additionally, she has recently joined the PTA board at her son’s elementary school, to assist with some of their more complex fundraising dynamics, while also serving as Assistant Secretary.

Jennifer- Your dedication and passion for your work is truly inspiring. You are an invaluable member of our DML family, and we cannot thank you enough for all your hard work. We look forward to seeing your continued success and what you accomplish in the years to come!
